Genie Timeline 2.1 Business is the perfect solution for businesses looking for a powerful, reliable, easy to use software that will ensure full system backup and recovery for every computer. Whether your company has 5 computers or a 100 computers you can dramatically reduce the time of deploying your backup system with the use of the Administrative Template (ADM) component that works with Active Directory and Group Policies to preconfigure all backup settings and perform remote deployment.
Group Policy/Active Directory
Genie Timeline integrates with Active Directory and the group policy editor to centralize management and configuration. You can update and edit a group policy at any time; settings will be automatically pushed out.
Preconfiguration
The 3-step setup can be preconfigured from the admin side. Features include Smart Selections, including or excluding specific files/folders, blocking access to certain features, compression, and much more.
Silent Deployment
The initial install and any future updates can be silently deployed across the network without user intervention. An icon will be placed in the System Tray after the installation is complete.
Preconfigured Compression/Encryption
Through Group Policy the option is available to enable or disable compression and/or encryption.
Backup Destination
The backup destination for individual PCs can be customized and predetermined. It provides the ability to add the user’s computer and/or login name to the destination path, making it easier to organize backups.
